Auburn - Chiropractor Volunteer

Dr. Keith has been committed as a Chiropractor to helping in the community with those taking part in the Western States Ultra Marathon over the past 21 years.

June 24th 2017 was the western states ultra marathon this year, a 100 mile trek over the Sierra Nevada mountain range from Squaw Valley to Auburn. Giving the runners Chiropractic care at the Foresthill check station has enhanced the experience of how the delicate balance of the two parts of the autonomic nervous system must work together for the runners. This allows the digestive system to still function properly while the muscular system is continually maintaining its high output required for this run.

The 2017 Western states Ultra Marathon run started at 5:00AM on June 24th at Squaw Valley, California and finished on the 25th at 5AM for the 24 hour cutoff and 11AM for the 30 hour cutoff at the Placer High School Sports Field in Auburn, California.
The awards Presentation followed at 12:30PM.

Congratulations to our 2017 first place male runner Ryan Sandes from Capetown, South Africa, and our first place female runner Cat Bradley from Boulder, Colorado, and all the runners finishing this grueling run within the 24 & 30 hour cutoff's.
